Cornucopia - Original

Cornucopia is an extravagant print inspired by an eighteenth century chintz created in India for the European market in a design influenced by the fashion for floral furnishing fabrics. The flowers suggest carnations – or possibly tulips or roses – and the design is reminiscent of a bouquet growing from a cornucopia, itself patterned with a classic fern design. The 10-colour print is offered as a heavily glazed cotton poplin, resulting in a wonderfully romantic fabric that is especially suited to bed hangings and curtains.
