The Golden Triangle

Cross-collaboration between some of the very best makers in Britain is at the heart of Soane’s mission, combining responsibly-sourced, high quality materials and superb workmanship to ensure our designs will endure for generations.

Our own workshop in Shaftesbury makes chair frames that are often intricate and challenging, which are then finished by a nearby French polisher with whom Soane has worked for over 25 years. The third element of the making process is carried out in Castle Cary, where Soane has recently taken ownership of a long-standing upholstery workshop and initiated a new apprenticeship scheme.

This network of exceptional makers is affectionately known by the Soane team as ‘The Golden Triangle’ such is the quality of the work that the marriage of these three workshops has led to.
