David Netto – The Rattan Big Bad Kitty Hanging Light – With Chain
A monumentally scaled, bell-shaped hanging light designed by David Netto, named for a cocktail at his favourite London restaurant, Kitty Fisher’s. David based the form on the Austrian architect Josef Hoffman’s 1920s ‘Standard Lamp’, which was created during the shift from gas to electric lighting. Made by craftspeople in Soane’s rattan workshop in Leicestershire, England, the light is a much larger sibling to the ‘Bad Kitty Table Lamp’. It is available in a choice of rattan finishes.
