Linnaeus Wallpaper – Original
Code - LNNW001
Printed by craftspeople in Leicestershire, England, this large-scale wallpaper is loosely derived from an early 19th century Mulhouse pattern book in Soane’s textile archive. Using the book as if it was a botanist’s seed catalogue and selecting individual floral specimens was the starting point for this architectural, grid-like design. Named as an homage to Carl Linnaeus, the 18th century Swedish biologist known as the ‘Father of Taxonomy’, this fresh, romantic pattern emulates botanical prints hung on a gallery wall and creates an enveloping feel of traditional panelling.
This paper can be hung in a straight or half drop repeat.
