The Alexis Stool

Part of Soane’s Alexis collection, based on an original chair made by Jansen for the infamous parties held by Baron de Redé at the Hotel Lambert in Paris, this stool is particularly useful. It was designed to be used as a pair in front of a sofa or can be used as a side or foot stool. Made by two of Soane’s in-house workshops, the frame is made by chair makers in a small workshop in Dorset and traditionally upholstered in Soane’s own in-house upholstery workshop in a choice of Soane (or client’s own) fabric or leather.

The upholstery filling of this design is made using natural materials.

Available in Soane's standard painting finishes, oak and mahogany and ebonised beech with the rosette and bar in antique brass.

All of our metal finishes are hand applied, living finishes and unlacquered, and we expect these to age and patina over time, this includes our samples.

Lead Time +

14 weeks. Lead time on quantities of 6 or more will need to be confirmed in advance of order.

Lead time will start from receipt of deposit and confirmation of all specifications.

8 weeks must be allowed from receipt of COM/COL.

We do not recommend this stool to be used with leather.
