The Astrolabe Bar Stool

The Astrolabe Bar Stool is a more curvaceous version of the Klismos Bar Stool and requires the specialist skills of five British workshops. Made by expert chair makers in Dorset, England, and upholstered by Soane’s own in-house workshop in Leicester, it has a domed sprung seat and elegantly turned legs, encircled by a metal foot-ring.

The upholstery filling of this design is made using natural materials.

Details +

Available in Soane's standard wood finishes, with a single line of close nailing and an antique brass foot ring.

For an additional charge, this design can be customised with:
Foot ring finished in PG2, PG3, PG4.

This design has been tested for use in a commercial setting.

All of our metal finishes are hand applied, living finishes and unlacquered, and we expect these to age and patina over time, this includes our samples.

Lead Time +

14 weeks. Lead time on quantities of 6 or more will need to be confirmed in advance of order.

Lead time will start from receipt of deposit and confirmation of all specifications.

8 weeks must be allowed from receipt of COM/COL.

Upholstery +

Materials: British organic wool, natural graphite latex, coconut coir, wool based interliner, webbing

COL: 22 sq ft of clean leather, free of extreme imperfections. We recommend sending an entire hide to achieve the best upholstery results.
