Shiny Black Cow Hide Leather

Each cow hide is naturally dyed and left unfinished. Please ask Soane for details on how to best treat and keep the leather as all colours will fade in direct sunlight and will mark if anything wet is spilt on it.

This is natural leather with the unique surface characteristics of the animal hide remaining visible. As such, a degree of natural marks and shade variation should be expected, making every hide unique, the colouration of each will vary as each hide reacts differently to the vegetable dye.

This leather has passed the Cigarette FR test BS 5852: Part 1 1979.

Each hide is roughly 50 sq ft

IN STOCK: 1 week
Out of stock at tannery: 10 weeks
Out of stock at tannery during Summer shutdown (1st June - 31st Aug): 18 weeks

If you are purchasing the leather for application on a Soane design, please note that we require 8 weeks from receipt of leather into Soane’s warehouse prior to
order completion date.

Lead time will start from receipt of deposit.

Carriage charges can be quoted upon confirmation of the delivery address.
