The Knurled Pelham Wall Light

Part of The Knurled Collection, inspired by exquisitely detailed 1930s’ metalwork, this brass wall light is made by metalworkers on England’s South Coast. The circular backplate supports a cylindrical arm with specialist knurled metal finish and a neat dome underneath. It is offered in a choice of Soane Metal finishes with a card or fabric lampshade available separately.

This design is compatible with an Osh bulb fitting and therefore can be used in a bathroom.

Please note when used with an Osh bulb, only the Osh bulb is IP44 rated not the light fitting. We are unable to provide the light with an overall IP44 certification.

All of our metal finishes are hand applied, living finishes and unlacquered, and we expect these to age and patina over time, this includes our samples.

Soane lighting designs and products are fully compliant with industry regulations LIAQA accreditation. We can provide either a CE Declaration of Conformity (for Europe), or a UKCA Declaration of Conformity (UK only).

This design has been made for the domestic use and has not been tested for a non-domestic environment.

The Knurling Process

Specialist operators use a large, complex CNC machine (a computer-controlled cylindrical cutter which moves along multiple axes to carve or cut designs) to create the fine engraving on our Knurled collection. Working in tandem with this new craft skill allows complex designs to be made with great precision every time – although the machine is only ever as accurate as the craftsperson controlling and operating the programme! Excess cut brass is collected and melted down, ready to be recycled and re-used.
