Plastic-based foams combined with fire-retardant chemicals are widely used throughout the upholstered furniture industry. Certain levels of these chemicals can be damaging to the environment and human health. Working with industry experts, Soane has developed a foam alternative, free from fire-retardant chemicals, combining natural latex, coconut coir and wool — as seen in our Crillon and Opera collections.
