The Apothecary Table Lamp – Valerian
Each of the 6 designs is limited to an edition of 30 with names which allude to their original medicinal contents. This lamp, with its fresh leaves radiating outwards in lively lines, is named for the traditional herbal remedy that has been used for millennia to treat sleep disorders and anxiety. Any row of albarello jars in an apothecary’s shop would have contained preparations of valerian, whose name derives from the Latin ‘valere’, meaning to be strong or healthy. The bold brushstrokes of the leaves are typical of the naturalistic designs of majolica jars.
This limited edition turned tulipwood table lamp comes with an 11” cream card shade included.
