A 1920s Egyptian applique wall hanging in Lulu’s collection was the starting point for this richly coloured striped weave, named for the great city on the Nile that flourished in pharaonic Egypt. The colourway Pashed is named after the New Kingdom artisan whose tomb has particularly fine wall paintings in these colours.
