Jacques Adnet’s metal and leather designs have always been sought after for their timeless forms and outstanding craftsmanship. A great modernist furniture designer with a prolific career spanning from the 1920s to the 1970s, Adnet’s elegantly detailed designs are at once understated and luxurious, the pared back silhouettes softened by the use of hand-stitched leather. It was this bold, fresh combination of materials that inspired Soane’s own leather wrapped metal designs.

Now, nearly two decades since the launch of the Adnet-inspired Crillon Chair, it forms the heart of one of Soane’s most loved collections.
