Roses

Rather than seeking inspiration from 18th-century Indian textiles, it is the first time that an English archival design has inspired a Soane floral chintz. ‘Roses’ does feel entirely English, drawing inspiration from a late 18th-century glazed cotton, spilling over with blousy flowers associated with an English herbaceous border. Hand drawn and traditionally printed using eight screens by craftsmen in Kent, the design retains all the atmosphere of the original upon which it is based.
